- The Technology Committee allows the district meetings to become accessible for those unable to attend meetings in person. Using the district video conference equipment, members can attend through video, audio, phone, and chat. The committee is responsible for the custody, storage, and maintenance of this equipment. Transports, assembles, and disassembles before and after each district meeting. A list of the equipment is included in Motion 21.1. Is responsible for forwarding a copy of the meeting recordings (if voted to record) to District Secretary and Archivist. Other duties include:
- Communications with district and area using designated email if available. Personal email may be required for this position.
- Have a basic knowledge of Windows and Zoom the communications platform.
- Knowledge of hardware, wiring and set-up of the district 10 equipment (laptop, display, OWL and all wiring).
- Must be able to attend District Business meetings and other functions as requested by the DCM, ALT DCM or other Committee Chairs.
- Perform duties of Zoom host: opening the meeting, admitting participants and monitoring the meeting for security as well as input from participants (whether by video or by chat).
- Become familiar with Zoom Security Manual to safely conduct District 10 business on Zoom. 7. This position has a budgeted Line-Item for reimbursement of expenses accrued. See the Trusted Servant Reimbursement Policy (Appendix C) for reimbursement clarifications.
