- The archivist or archive committee chair is responsible for establishing policies, procedures, and creative parameters; as well as maintaining responsibility and authority for the use of the archives, according to district group conscience. The archivist collects and maintains historical information and duties include:
- Communications with district and area using designated email: dist10archivist@area72aa.org .
- Collecting district committee meeting minutes, agenda, and district financial reports. 3. Collecting literature, documents, recordings, newspaper articles, photographs, event programs/flyers, and other artifacts related to the district, area, and A.A. as a whole.
- Utilizing storage space shared with Literature Locker Committee in a rented locker located at Rainier View Storage, Silverdale. Establishing and maintaining an inventory of the collection, as well as an index and locating system.
- Assisting district members with archive related matters.
- Due to the complexity of preservation and new developments of maintaining past recordings the Archivist may serve consecutive terms of two – 2 year terms. See motion 24.7.
- This position has a budgeted Line-Item for reimbursement of expenses accrued. See the Trusted Servant Reimbursement Policy (Appendix C) for reimbursement clarifications. Included in this line-item is the cost the Literature/Archivist storage locker rent bi-monthly.
